Dream about ex…weird?
any ideas?
I was walking around in early evening (fall) on my college campus and I saw an ex of mine I haven't seen for 10 years. In my dream he was walking past me brusquely, so I grabbed him by the wrist to make him stop and look at me. When he did, I realized he seemed taller than remembered, wearing two jackets, a scarf, slacks and so on, old fashioned, 1930's wear. I told him that he looked gorgeous. I took one of his jackets. I was going to give it back to him later. It was velvet, or soft, I think it was the underneath jacket. When he walked away I smelled the jacket and it was like cold fresh air mixed with pine. I ended up seeing a girl in one of my "classes", and she complained that she was cold and looked at the jacket in my hands pointedly. I told her no way with this jacket, he'd never forgive me, so I went to get mine from my seat, a Motorcycle Jacket/hoodie. I was aware that I didn't look my best in my odd clothes.
I am definitely not in love with him, and will not be looking him up…I was 18 at the time, it's long past. I just don't understand the jacket, his jacket. Or why I was guarding it.
It sounds like you may be missing him and the comfort you felt with him a little. Maybe some smell or sight triggered him in your mind. You also sound a tad self-conscious, are you maybe having relationship issues, or longing for someone or even something?That could account for your not thinking you looked your best. The 30's clothes could be an overblown representation of the past.
Weird? No way! WhenI dated a guy and it started to get serious, I used to dream that I killed him, usually with a shotgun!
