What do chicks think of guys who look like Power Rangers on motorcycles?
One of my buddies sold his full leathers because little kids would swarm around him asking him to transform.
Do you look like a Power Ranger? Which one? Or do you look like a poser outlaw? When I say that, I mean having a pristine Harley with unscratched leathers, polished boots, and designer sunglasses.
Personnally, I prefer my Kawi jacket, blue jeans, and work boots.
Ellwood, I have often wondered where the expression. "Who gives a rat's asss?" comes from. I think I will ask this question separately. Thanks for the idea.
No oldladyg…, I'm not jealous of checkbook bikers. These are the one's that fire up their bikes to ride to the Long John Silver's two blocks away and then ride back home, or trailer their bikes to Sturgis. Eventually they die from a collison with an SUV with a soccer mom driving. Unscratched leathers don't help there.
Battle scars on riding gear and on a bike are not the sign of falling down alot. True bikers have taken a few falls and know how to fall correctly.
Sheez, alot of people are getting pretty bent here and assuming stuff about me. Please answer the question.

I like the whole leather gear and it's HOT! (and also so much safer for your fragile little skin & bones when you really take a tumble…)

I could give a rat's a.. what I look like when I ride. I ride to be seen easier and dress for the crash not the ride.

I too could care less what I look like to others when I ride. I ride in a scuffed and scraped leather jacket, chaps and boots that offer nice protection. If I had the money for a full set of leather, I'd wear it when it was cool enough too. It probably wouldn't stay pristine for too long either, not the way I ride.

Who cares what you look like in full leathers? They are too ****** hot to wear when you are off the bike for more than a few minutes. And you'll be glad you were wearing them when you crash!

My friend lowsided on an offramp at 70mph when his engine siezed and he let out the clutch. walked away with only a few friction burns because he was in full gear.
I would say the person who is overly concerned about what others think about looks is more of a poser than the guys who have enough common sense to dress appropriately for riding. And no you don't have to fall to be a true biker.
